Homepage

Before

The masonry grid makes the homepage visually overwhelming. It becomes hard for visitors to quickly scan our content to see if we have what they want.

After

We designed a clean, easy-to-scan grid of card components that echo the Skillshare product experience.

What it’s like to work with me

We spent the majority of our collaborative time on a full redesign of the Skillshare blog. I had at that point spent a couple years staring at the same blog design, and I feel like I had stopped actually seeing it. To have Delisa come in and begin to pick apart point-by-point all the different design components that simply weren’t working really opened my eyes to how much we like we could breathe into the value delivered to the user through improved design. We went from a garish shambles to a sharp, gorgeously-branded blog experience that delivered the correct information to the user, when the user most needed it.

Resources Page

Before

The previous experience Guides page was… something. This page combined articles and three experimental guide pages that were collecting dust.

After

The most significant update in this work was revamping and implementing the new blog taxonomy. We also introduced a new facet for the blog: Resource Type, which supports our new content strategy.

What it’s like to work with me

During our time together at Skillshare, particularly on our blog redesign, I was immediately struck by Delisa’s energy, talent, and the significant impact she brought to the project. Her communication skills are unparalleled, ensuring that our cross-functional team of engineers, PMs, and marketers was always equipped with the necessary resources at every stage of the redesign. Thanks to Delisa’s dedication, not only did we meet our timelines, but we also launched ahead of schedule.
